Edoardo Agamennone has more than 15 years of experience in doing business with China, including 7 years in private practice with leading law firms both in Europe & China, 7 years as manager for multinational companies, as well as various experiences as investor, board member and mentor. Throughout his career, Edoardo has advised a great number of investors, multinational companies, governments, sovereign funds, banks and other financial institutions on investment projects and corporate transactions in more than 30 jurisdictions worldwide.
Edoardo holds a LLB from the University of Rome III, a LLM degree in Chinese law from the University of Hong Kong and a PhD in financial and management studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London. He is the author of several publications in the field of China’s financial system, Chinese outward foreign direct investments, China-Europe and China-Africa commercial relationships, energy and corporate law.
Alessandro is the principal research fellow at the Middle East Institute (MEI), National University of Singapore. He is the co-director of the Security & Crisis Management International Centre at the Shanghai Academy of Social Science (SASS-Polito) and an external associate at Lau China Institute, King’s College London.
His two decades of experience in China encompasses security analysis and crisis management. His main research interests include China, Central Asia and Middle East and North Africa relations, sovereign wealth funds, private military/security companies, and China’s security and foreign policy.
Alessandro is the author of several books and he has published papers and commentaries in various journals in Italian, English and Chinese. His most recent book is China’s Private Army: Protecting the New Silk Road (Palgrave, 2018). He has been appointed Knight of Order of the Star of Italy by the president of the Italian Republic.
Gadi Ariav is a Retired Associate Professor of Technology and Information Systems Management, at the Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University. Until retirement in October 2017, he headed for 8 years the Max Perlman Center for Global Business and served for 5 years as the founding Academic Director of the Business Consulting specialization in the MBA program. Gadi has more than fifty years of experience in the practice, research and teaching of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and information systems (IS) in organizations. Since 2001 he has been studying and teaching of high-tech entrepreneurship as well as international business strategies in technology intensive companies in general, and viz. Israel, China and India, in particular.
In his international academic career, he has been primarily teaching at Tel Aviv University, but also at Stern School of Business (NYU), Paul Merage School of Business (UC Irvine), Claremont Graduate University, as well as Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University). He has been Academic Director of the Executive MBA programs between 1994 and 2005, founding director of the Kellogg-Recanati International EMBA program as well as the Georges Leven High-Tech Management School (HTMS), all at Tel Aviv University. Gadi holds a Ph.D. degree in Decision Sciences from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a M.Sc. in Management Science (Cum Laude), as well as B.A. degree in Statistics and Economics, both from Tel Aviv University.
A cum laude graduate in Economics, Vittorio De Pedys is Affiliate Professor at ESCP Europe - Torino campus, where he offers executive courses on Private Banking, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance, mostly tailor-made for key Italian and international banks. For ESCP Europe he also teaches at MBA seminars and executive management courses of Problem Solving & Decision Making. Furthermore, he is Adjunct Professor of Private Equity at the University of Rome (Tor Vergata), and teaches Finance at a number of international business schools. Valuing education being as a two-way process, Vittorio is also receiving training on Participants-Centered Learning from the Harvard Entrepreneurship Education Colloquium.
Throughout his 20 years-long business career Vittorio worked in banking and investment banking in Italy, the UK and the US: having started as a Treasury (BNL) and bond dealer (UniCredit), he later became Director of Proprietary Trading (Merrill Lynch), then Executive Director of the Smith Barney London Branch, Head of Finance at Banca Salento, and finally group CFO at Banca ICCREA. A certified financial analyst, Vittorio also works as a consultant for the Italian Banking Association.
Jooyoung Park has more than 5 years of experience in conducting research in the field of Marketing and teaching China. She currently works at Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) as an assistant professor in management. Her primary research interests include consumer information processing, motivation, and online shopping. She has conducted several research projects in China, some of which aim to understand Chinese consumers and their shopping behavior. She teaches both an intro- and an advanced-level course in Marketing and has won an excellent teacher award in 2017 at PHBS.

David Yu focuses on investing and financing cross border and on real assets. He teaches a variety of investing and financing related courses at New York University Shanghai and in NYU Stern / Shanghai's Masters of Quantitative Finance Program and previously in NYU Stern / HKUST's Masters of Global Finance Program. Yu is the Chairman of China Aviation Valuation Advisors, the only aviation focused valuation advisory firm in China and Asia. Prior to his full time appointment, he was previously an adjunct professor of finance at NYU for many years.
Yu is a recognized expert and thought leader in cross border finance and investing. In addition, Yu has extensive experience in direct investments and financing across industries globally.
